Hereīs a picture of a painting I modified in many ways, itīs taken from a Bible for children (For children... I wonder how many nightmares this painting caused...). I made The frame and make the kind of antique look of it with dust and whatever else. All thought this picture was taken in a dark room with just a tiny flash light pointing the picture, thatīs where the shiny halo of the man shines, as all the rest got darker, thatīs the general Idea of all...

yeah totally.
im not much of a christian, infact im not much of anything but thats beside the point...what was i saying? oh yeah!
im not much of a christian but ive read a fair few pages of the bible for school and such and what always struck me as weird was that, granted there are some fantastic stories, but the whole thing is sooooo soooo scary and insane with angels and devils and guys being born to virgins and shit and it seems every christian is so used to it all now nobody batts an eye-lid.
butu this painting makes it actually look frightening like it would be if you were there.

Stumbled upon this picture while searching the gallery. A really really late reply, but I wanted to thrown in my two cents as a Christian. The guy here is not animating an army of undead. This is the prophet Ezekiel, commanded by God to raise up the valley of dry bones. They don't stay skeletons---flesh covers them, and skin, and they become alive. The point of the story is actually a message of hope, not terror:

"This is what the Sovereign Lord says: O my people, I am ging to open your graves and bring you up from them; I will bring you back to the land of Israel. Then you, my people, will know that I am the Lord..." (Ezekiel 37:12-13)

This prophecy actually came true already, when the nation of Israel was reestablished in 1947. Between AD 70 and 1947, the nation did not exist, having been smashed to bits by the Roman Empire.

That said, I think the painting is awesome, scene from the Bible or not.
Wow, thanks for that comment. I hadn't connected the story of Ezekiel, but now it seems so obvious.
